Fishing for schools exclusivemap

Fishing is not just a pastime: it is educational, therapeutic and a builder of life skills. It is the extra-curricular activity that encourages children to explore a world beyond the confines of the classroom and social media.

In the natural world children are challenged to apply new skills in an environment that is not necessarily familiar to them. Fishing is the non-sporting option that requires observation, application and team-work.

For children who haven’t always found their niche, it is an opportunity to combine ecology, sport and learning in a fun and safe way.

Nether Wallop Mill

There are few more perfect places to experience the delights of fishing than Nether Wallop Mill, which nestles at the head of the Test valley beside the burbling Wallop Brook. The crystal-clear lake is full of trout and is overlooked by a thatched fishing lodge that doubles as our ‘classroom’ for the day.

All our instructors are fully qualified and certified and we provide all the fishing equipment necessary. No specialist clothing is required, the pupils simply need to dress for a few hours outdoors. We are located 3 miles from Stockbridge, Hampshire.

Fish Camp for schools

The perfect alternative to swimming, rugby, cookery or any of the activities that currently take place through your school.

This is a very hands-on day, dedicated to not only enjoying fly fishing but looking into the ecology of our internationally renowned chalkstreams. Aside from the fishing we take a look beneath the river surface examining, identifying and explaining the natural world of streams.
