Hotel-to-bankside fishing trips
Nether Wallop Mill
Enjoy a wonderful visit to experience a quintessential English village and pastime, exclusively tailored for hotel guests staying in the area.
At Nether Wallop Mill you will be greeted by your private instructor who will start with a brief tour of The Mill that dates back a thousand years, with its working water wheel and which is home to a family of otters, made famous in the book The Otters’ Tale. After that it is time to start fishing!
After a brieforientation and practice you will be fishing on our lake that is stocked with blue, brown, rainbow, spartic and tiger trout, some as large as 8lbs/4kgs! All the equipment and specialist clothing is provided; just dress for a day outdoors.
This day is open to experienced and novice anglers alike. Full instruction is given to those who require it. Generally, we release all the fish caught. Don’t forget your camera to record the big catch! By prior arrangement non-fishing guests are very welcome at no extra charge. Nether Wallop is a fascinating village to walk around, famous as the location of the Ms. Marple TV series with a pre-Norman church, winding lanes and thatched walls beside the burbling Brook.
The fishing lodge is fully equipped with a veranda, sitting area, kitchen and bathroom. Light refreshments are provided.
