River Fishing in Herefordshire
Fishing Breaks offers the opportunity for mixed fishing, both bait and fly on the River Wye, with John Bailey well-known angling writer and angling consultant on the hit BBC series Mortimer & Whitehouse, Gone Fishing.
The Wye rises in mid-Wales and flows largely south-eastwards for some 155 miles, for a large part along the English and Welsh border, until the UK’s fourth longest river joins the Severn estuary.
Well-known for salmon in its lower reaches, upriver of Hereford the fishing is more of a mixed nature noted for large barbel, chub, grayling and trout.
